CI Episode 07x12 "Contract"
I'd like to try to revive episode discussions once again! My thoughts, random commentary, quotes, spoilers, etc. will be under the cut. Please feel free to chime in with discussion or your own commentary or quotes that you liked or thoughts you had or what-have-you.

First of all, IT IS SO GOOD TO HAVE WHEELER BACK. I cannot say enough HOW excited I am for her return!

I loved Mo Rocca's cameo, although I didn't immediately recognize him.

Loved this quote:

Logan, to Wheeler: You're gone for six months, the city's quiet. You come back and all hell breaks loose.

Logan making a "Valley of the Dolls" reference amused me for some reason. Chris Noth looked great (yessss, my obsessive Logan Hair Checking is BACK) and did a great job in the episode, I thought. To me, at least, the episode seemed so much more authentic with Wheeler being back. Logan seemed more at ease and so did Ross. The whole thing with Falacci just...never sat right with me for a variety of reasons and the episodes didn't seem "real" - I don't know if that makes any sense.

Wheeler's Engagement:
Okay, gotta say, as one of the people who thought she was probably gay, thanks to last season's subtext, this is still taking some getting used to. I know I wasn't the only one whose face dropped when she said "Don't worry, you'll meet him."

The exchange confused me slightly -
Ross: Nice ring tan line, Wheeler.
Wheeler: I'm engaged.
Logan: *shocked* What?? Since when??

Now Ross didn't seem shocked...but she was addressing him when she said "I'm engaged"...so I was confused as to whether Ross knew or not. I can see it being either, but it was sort of odd to me.

Wheeler's remarks re: Falacci made my night. "Marking my desk" was hilarious and so was the disdain for the stupid Princess mug, nailpolish and brush. Also I loved the little look Logan gave when Wheeler said "She still wants to be your partner!", like, "Well who wouldn't? I'm the man!"

Ross and Rodgers in the caf!! --> as a fan of that ship, that would have made me happy, had it not just come RIGHT AFTER the preview for next week's episode (which has me so nerve-wracked! Ross!Drama!)

Why do all cops think if they just stayed in school longer, they coulda been doctors? - Rodgers

"I love this dirty town." - Logan, quoting Burt Lancaster. Loved that part.

Okay, was I the only one who got lost with the movie plot? I was at Logan's reference to his days as a white shield and suddenly I got totally lost and stuff started going too fast.

"Wouldn't be the first time a Catholic school girl went bad for awhile." - Ross

And now we have the token In Plain Sight crossover. Which was way too convenient and unnecessary for my liking (but I'm not a fan of IPS so I'm obviously biased).

...Logan checked her out and gave Ross a look. Yeah he did.

Wheeler: She's a slice.

I didn't quite catch Logan's "Albuquerque at 10PM" comment.

While I missed the part of how they ended up at the ending, I did like the ending, particularly when Logan told the guy he could have his street smarts and his soul, and then of course, "Right back atcha pal" and "So much for my second act." I liked how it ended on Logan and Wheeler being amused.

Logan said, "What can there be to do at 10pm on Sunday night in Albuquerque." Or something of the like. And IPS is on at 10. On Sunday.

Re: Ross - Wheeler's tan line

Probably pointing out to her that she isn't doing a good job of hiding the fact. He looked to see the ring to make sure whatever shmuck she's got (his words here) got her a nice enough ring and there was a tan line. So he tells her such.

I thought
we went a long way to get to the end but I did love Mikey remembering a case from the old days (wow, before Greavey!) and contemplating his "second act."

And who didn't love Wheeler throwing away the nail polish and brush!

Re: I thought
Anyone know where you can find Screen Caps for this episode = there are so many sites with Goren and Eames screen caps AMD I can't find any for the Logan Epies : (

Re: I thought
LOVED IT :)

Smart,saucy and fun episode.

Also I think the Parody of the fifties style NOIR - was done as a compliment - not in any way to belittle or make fun of that genre.

So glad to have Logan and Wheeler back as a team .
